Bob grew up in Havre, Montana and majored in Technical Theatre at the University of Montana, Elementary Education at Northern Montana College and Eastern Montana College and Scenic Design at Humboldt State University in Northern California. Bob has toured throughout the States and Canada since 1992 as a tour actor/director with Prairie Fire Children's Theatre, Small Change Theatre and One Reel. Bob has conducted theatrical workshops and residencies in the Seattle area at Adams Elementary, Brookside Elementary, Lynnwood Parks and Rec, Debut Family Theatre, Youth Theatre Northwest, The Evergreen School, Allegro Performing Arts Academy and Spectrum Dance Theater. He has recently written and directed "Babes in Toyland" which was produced for the Spectrum Dance Theater's youth program along with this summer's drama camp productions of: "Red Riding Hood", "Egyptian Cinderella", "Wizard of Oz" and "Chinese Beauty and the Beast". Bob will be writing and directing the second annual adaptation of "Aladdin's Lamp" for Spectrum's Holiday Showcase to presented in December, 2009.
About the Directors:
Bob is a Technical Designer and Mask Maker and has taught drama classes at the Evergreen School, Allegro Performing Arts Academy, Spectrum
Dance Theater, Youth Theatre Northwest and Lynnwood Parks and Rec. Along with writing several original musical adaptations for Variety Plus,
he has written and directed Babes in Toyland, Alladin and an Egyptian Cinderella for Spectrum Dance Theater and works as head Registrar and
is the School Drama Director at Spectrum. He is currently writing Pied Piper that he and Angela will be producing in the fall of '09
for Variety Plus.
Angela Rinaldi-Gribas- Composer, Music Director, Choreographer, Costumer
Angela has over twenty five years experience in the theatrical arts and has toured extensively throughout the States and Canada as an actor/director with Missoula Children's Theatre, Prairie Fire Theatre and One Reel, among many others. She is the co-founder of Variety Plus Theater and has composed, music directed, choreographed, produced and performed in several musical adaptations of children's classic tales. She composed original music and lyrics for "Pinocchio" and "Jack and the Beanstalk" that is currently touring throughout the Midwest with Prairie Fire Children's Theater. She has also conducted musical theater workshops and residencies at Seattle Children's Theater, Youth Theater Northwest, Debut Family Theater, Seattle Center Academy, Seattle Prepatory School, Brookside Elementary, The Evergreen School, Bellevue High School, Issaquah High School, Sammamish High School, Spectrum Dance Theater and Whitman College. Recently, she music directed and choreographed “West Side Story” , "Grease" and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” and “Footloose” at Bellevue High School , “Guys and Dolls” at Sammamish High School and choreographed “Kiss Me, Kate” at Issaquah High School. Along with performing professionally as an actor, Angela has composed over 100 songs for theater and dance productions and serves as Principal Accompanist at Spectrum Dance Theater and Dance Musician at Cornish College of the Arts Dance Department and has just released her latest CD entitled: Dancer’s Choice and promoting her Music for Ballet Class compact discs, The Keys of Dance and Musica Bella. Angela is a faculty teaching artist at Seattle Children's Theatre teaching musical theatre classes and is a corps member of Events on the Edge, performing Interactive Murder Mysteries, aboard the Royal Argosy Cruises as well as Meet the Biscottis, A Mafia Musical; Caffeine, An Addicitve Musical, both of which she composed the original music. Angela is very excited to have had the pleasure of directing Seattle Children's Theatre summer season production of Once on This Island, Jr. in August!
